Our different conditions

I have been away for a long time. On the side of my online projects, I have been working as a personal assistant, a helper and caretaker for a person who suffered a stroke some years ago. As a result, this person has aphasia, a condition that makes him unable to speak properly because of damage to specific brain regions. (My father suffered a similar fate at the end of his life). This person also sits in a wheelchair as the strength in his legs has weakened, so he needs help with daily routines. But generally as a person, he understands a lot, he is usually very positive, kind and understanding. Someone close to me, who recently suffered a rather strong case of tonsillitis and at serious risk with taking antibiotics, mentioned how grateful we should be for our health and the things we have been given…

Surah Al-Muminoon 23:78
It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give!

With so many conditions and chronic illnesses and medical issues that exists in this world… to think there are so many people out there who complain so much for so much less… yet many of the ones who really go through challenges are the ones that expresses something everyone should… a more humble frame of mind. Gratitude. May Allah bless those who go through these types of challenges and despite their issues… put their trust in Him.

Surah Al-An’aam 6:53
Doth not Allah know best those who are grateful?

Surah An-Nisaa 4:147
What can Allah gain by your punishment, if ye are grateful and ye believe? Nay, it is Allah that recogniseth (all good), and knoweth all things.

Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:139
So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith.

Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:159
For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).

I hope that you found this an inspiring input and that it has brought something to consider.
Also feel free to check out an earlier input I wrote on gratitude as it touches a very similar line of thinking as the one I speak about here. We should remind ourselves that every breath we take in this lifetime and everything that we own… we owe to our Creator.

The best of times to you all inshallah.
Peace, happiness, and stay faithful.
