The things we do during Ramadan

It is a little less than a week left of Ramadan. I hope it has gone well for everyone? I would like to take the opportunity to point out an important thing… just because Ramadan reaches its finish line for this year does not mean you should think it’s over. It is very easy for people to think in such a way… “Ramadan has ended, now things will go back to normal.” Be careful of this thinking. We put on our best behaviour during Ramadan, a blessed month of good. But should it stop there? The truth is… the trial never ends during our lifetime. As we stick to a certain mentality during Ramadan such as kindness, generosity, reading the Quran, and so on… we can keep that mentality with us when we face the time ahead…

Don’t stop being kind and generous. Things you do during Ramadan are still of benefit to you after the month has passed. Don’t stop reading the Quran because Ramadan is over. Try to make it a habit to read at least a small part of it as a routine… the focus should not simply be to “earn a spiritual reward”. Put it as a routine to try and understand it in more depth. It could actually be one of the most important steps you take in this life.

Surah Al-Baqara 2:269
He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the Message but men of understanding.

I once pointed to an article that gave us a few good tips about what this input is talking about. I would like to point to it again. It is just as valid now. Head over and check it out, especially if you didn’t see it before, it contains some valuable points indeed. Take the mentality of Ramdan with you as you face the time ahead, and make good use of the time. After all… we only have this life to make the best of it.

I hope this input has brought something good and inspiring to consider.

The best of times to you all inshallah.
Peace, happiness, and stay faithful.
