Our hopes

Many of us are spending time to pray for change. When dark or troubling times are coming, we ask for relief. When we hope for things, then we pray for it to happen…

سورة فصلت ٤٩
لَّا يَسْأَمُ الْإِنسَانُ مِن دُعَاءِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِن مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ

Surah Fussilat 41:49
Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair.

Most humans are blinded by comfort, the feeling of safety around them, so when dark situations happen, or when you experience pressures… it shakes the person’s spirit. Humans usually take decisions based on comfort alone…

سورة التوبة ٣٨
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ۚ أَرَضِيتُم بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ

سورة الرعد ١١
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ

Surah At-Tawba 9:38
O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.

Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:11
Allah does not change a people’s lot unless they change what is in their hearts.

It is not until something valuable is missing that you realize its value. Decisions made simply out of comfort is not enough. Life needs steps. But even when steps are taken, things can go wrong. For every challenge, Allah turns His attention to you…

سورة البقرة ١٥٥
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ

سورة الأنعام ٣٢
وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ ۖ وَلَلدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Surah Al-Baqara 2:155
Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere,

Surah Al-An’aam 6:32
What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous. Will ye not then understand?

Many decisions we take in life may seem to go wrong… but we must always remember that there is the hope that such decisions, in the end, may still give us what we hoped for, or to give us what we need…. to lead us to the right. Any challenge you face in life gives you a chance to learn the true meaning of the following words…

سورة البقرة 1٥٣
إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

Surah Al-Baqara 2:153
Allah is with those who patiently persevere.

In the end, we should always keep that in mind…

سورة البقرة ١٤٨
وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا ۖ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ أَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُوا يَأْتِ بِكُمُ اللَّهُ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Surah Al-Baqara 2:148
To each is a goal to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, Allah will bring you Together. For Allah Hath power over all things.

Many of you are already aware that I am striving to renew the website with the hosting company, to keep it for another year. I would like to stress the urgency. I have already been forced to cancel the website with a month to regret the cancellation. Thankfully, I have had a lot of help from followers, but I still need your help to cross the finish line. So… this is the last chance… if you want to help save this website, then you have until Friday. (The 11th). Let us hope this update won’t be the last.
