I have a lot more to share and a lot of new developments in mind for the year ahead. Let’s hope things will carry on in the best way, inshallah. For those who wish to continue to support my efforts, you can go to this page. It is welcomed, as this site and my efforts are solely driven by your continued support.

I extend my deepest gratitude. Allah bless all of you for your kindness and generosity and for helping me continue with this.

I would actually like to take this opportunity to share the Khutba I held (on Friday 11th). It was originally written by brother Sameer, one of the participants in the local masjid, who held the Khutba in Arabic, so I wrote a brief summary of it in Swedish. This is a translation of that summary. I think it is a good topic to consider about the Islamic month of Sha’ban.

The Khutba

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Sha’ban, in the Islamic calendar, is the month we are now in. And the starting point for Ramadan as a kind of introduction to it. In fact, some early Muslims started reading the Qur’an and giving money (زكاة) to help the weak and poor already when Sha’ban started.

Usamah bin Zaid (رضي الله عنه) said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting any month as much as during Sha’ban.’ The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) replied, ‘It is a month, between Rajab and Ramadan, to which people do not pay much attention. It is a month when deeds are taken up to the Lord of the worlds, and I like my deeds to be taken up when I am fasting.’

This amazing month is surrounded by two great months, Rajab and Ramadan, so this month, Sha’ban, has somehow been neglected, Prophet Mohammed (صلى الله عليه وسلم) mentioned this. During Sha’ban, a servant’s deeds are presented to God.

It is therefore encouraged to do good things during this month. To read the Qur’an, to help people. To fast during the month, which is not only rewarding, but also serves as a preparation for Ramadan. This month is a very good month to do many good things. So take advantage of it, get the best out of it.

Like the Qur’an says…

Surah Al-Kahf 18:30
As to those who believe and work righteousness, verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of any who do a (single) righteous deed.

I hope you found this an interesting input and that it has brought something good to consider.
Once again, thank you for all your help and feel free to continue to support my work.
I am here for you.

The best of times to you all inshallah.
Peace, happiness, and stay faithful.
