It’s been about a month since I posted my last update. I have been struggling with both work and health issues. These issues have made me start to ask about my place in this world. Things like… who am I? With all that I’m going through, is this all that I am or ever going to be in this world? Why am I here, and what good am I providing to anyone? These are actually fundamental questions that may pass in the minds of most people at some point or another. With how life sometimes is going… we may fail to see our path and we question our own purpose. It makes us feel down…
Despite of how a person may feel when such questions arise, I realized the true depth of them. They are something we should actually ask ourselves every day, no matter in what state we are in… to what end am I doing something? Or saying something? How will it affect those around me? How will it benefit me as a person?
The very same principle is true for those who point fingers at others. As well as those who wage war against the weak. Every human on this planet is walking a path, but most people are too blind to see it.
Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:185
Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception.
In the end… our journey through life is something we really should spend more time thinking about, and when we are stuck in one place… we need to find a path that exists in that darkness… a light… whether we experience something like health issues, hopelessness, or even arrogance, anger, or other personal weaknesses…
It is in times of personal darkness we need to remind ourselves of the following…
Surah Az-Zumar 39:53-55
Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
“Turn ye to our Lord (in repentance) and bow to His (Will), before the Penalty comes on you: after that ye shall not be helped.
“And follow the best of (the courses) revealed to you from your Lord, before the Penalty comes on you – of a sudden while ye perceive not!-
Surah Al-Baqara 2:214
Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? they encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: “When (will come) the help of Allah?” Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!
It is with those ayat in mind that we need to ask the question… to what end? What is the purpose of our actions?
Let us take a moment to pray for those of our brothers and sisters who currently face difficulties and struggles in both Sudan as well as Palestine. Peace to all who face difficulties and to those who put their trust in Him. Amin.
I hope that you found this an inspiring input and that it has brought something to consider.
The best of times to you all inshallah.
Peace, happiness, and stay faithful.
