Happy New Year 2022!

Here is a somewhat belated happy new year to all of you! A lot of interesting things have happened in the year 2021, especially in the last 2 months. I never imagined I would be doing Khutba by the end of the year… (I have done 2 more since I last mentioned it).

With all this in mind, who knows what this year may have in store… well… perhaps not so surprisingly, it reminded me of an aya…

سورة لقمان ٣٤
إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَّاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

Surah Luqman 31:34
Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does any one know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: Nor does any one know in what land he is to die. Verily with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things).

I recorded a new year greeting during the turn of the new year and shared it here below. Alhamdulillah for all of you and for the continued support and encouragment I receive from you. Let’s face the future with strength and gratitude and look forward to a good year ahead, inshallah…
