Everyone goes through ups and downs in life, facing different kinds of situations that takes us through trials and tribulations, experiences or situations that test a person’s endurance or self-control. Humans are often happy and content when good befalls them, but fall into sorrow and despair in situations when they face difficulties. This is true of every single soul on the planet and all of us have experiences with both good and bad. But through these different kinds of experiences… it comes down to realizing who we are… what we are capable of deep down…
سورة الرعد ١١
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ
سورة الحج ٣٨
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ
Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:11
For each (such person) there are (angels) in succession, before and behind him: They guard him by command of Allah. Allah does not change a people’s lot unless they change what is in their hearts. But when (once) Allah willeth a people’s punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to protect.
Surah Al-Hajj 22:38
Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe: verily, Allah loveth not any that is a traitor to faith, or show ingratitude.
We may believe in a Creator…. but it is important to remember that the intentions we have should be based on that ground… it changes our focus. Otherwise it will just be empty and pointless acts, things we do in the blind. If our minds are lost, then so is focus… and ultimately, our purpose for being here.
سورة الأعراف ١٨٦
مَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ ۚ وَيَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
سورة العنكبوت ٦٩
وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
سورة الطلاق ٣
وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا
سورة آل عمران ١٣٩
وَلَا تَهِنُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنتُمُ الْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
سورة آل عمران ١٥٩
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
Surah Al-A’raaf 7:186
To such as Allah rejects from His guidance, there can be no guide: He will leave them in their trespasses, wandering in distraction.
Surah Al-Ankaboot 29:69
And those who strive in Our (cause),- We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right.
Surah At-Talaaq 65:3
And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.
Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:139
So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith.
Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:159
For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).
We should start the day by asking ourselves… who are we? And why are we here? Our striving through life with such a focus enriches us with a sense of purpose… and in the end, our intentions will be rewarded with success, inshallah. It never hurts to be repeated. It all comes down to what we believe, and what we do with the lessons learned. We all know the importance of it… but few take the time to really think about it.
