When changing faith from one to the other, it is also a natural step to deal with the question of how to reach Jannah. That was one of the things I looked at during my journey to embrace the Islamic faith. Since I knew that Islam and Christianity, (and Judaism) are all considered as being related, I sought to understand the difference between what I had learned growing up, and the faith I was about to embrace.
Coming from a Christian faith, I needed to learn the general thinking, to improve my understanding of the deen (دين), and how that thinking differ from my previous faith. This was a very interesting and eye opening learning experience indeed.
I will try to get some rest now before Khutba, but I did not want to let things pass without giving a mention about what’s coming, inshallah, as well as taking this opportunity to wish you all a beautiful Jumma Mubarak.
